Hey, It's Been a While...

I haven't posted since April 2007 so let me tell you what's been up with me.  My doctor urged me to go through with the hysterectomy because there were tumors on my left ovary.  So I went under the knife bravely in the morning of June 28, 2007.  My brother, Carmine, was here to take care of Mom while I was in the hospital.  And he drove over with Mom to see me every day.  It was such a good comfort, and I will always keep them forever in my heart for his sacrifice of not only driving an hour and a half to the hospital in the morning, but also pushing Mom in her wheel chair all over the hospital just to get to my room.  I'm so thankful!  My hospital room was a private one, and I didn't have to worry about disturbing anybody else.  My nurses were the best.  Amber was my first nurse, before they sent me to ICU for having a panic attack.  To briefly explain, I was panicking because something was in my chest near my throat and I thought I was choking.  The doctors said that they probably busted a blood vessel or something when they took the tube out of me before I woke up from the anesthesia.  Then my doctor thought it would be a good idea to stick a tube up my nose and down to my stomach.  When I came back up on the patients' floor I had the worse time with needles.  But God and Jesus got me through it all.  I came back home on July 2nd, and found that Carmine took good care of my computer, as well as Mom; he did most of the cooking for her.  Then about a couple of days after I got home, my sister, Vivian, came down to help take care of me when Carmine left.  She came down with her grandson (my grandnephew) and her dog, Dolly.  They were a comfort too.  We all went places where there was a lot of walking and site seeing, which was a good thing for me to do in order to heal from my surgery.  Granted, I walked slow though.  And I really didn't need to take any pain pills.  God is so good to me.  Jesus, my Savior, truly saved me.
